A ‘funnel’ Turnpike Theorem for Optimal Growth Problems with Discounting
A particularly interesting question in mathematical economics is the ‘turnpike’ problem. There have been many papers written on the subject, bearing out Nikaido’s (1964) prediction that ‘it will continue to bewitch many people’. In this paper we present an extension to the classical turnpike theory for the discounted optimal control problem, developed in the context of Implicit Programming theo...
متن کاملOn Lacunary Statistical Limit and Cluster Points of Sequences of Fuzzy Numbers
For any lacunary sequence $theta = (k_{r})$, we define the concepts of $S_{theta}-$limit point and $S_{theta}-$cluster point of a sequence of fuzzy numbers $X = (X_{k})$. We introduce the new sets $Lambda^{F}_{S_{theta}}(X)$, $Gamma^{F}_{S_{theta}}(X)$ and prove some inclusion relaions between these and the sets $Lambda^{F}_{S}(X)$, $Gamma^{F}_{S}(X)$ introduced in ~cite{Ayt:Slpsfn} by Aytar [...
متن کاملThe Uniqueness Theorem for the Solutions of Dual Equations of Sturm-Liouville Problems with Singular Points and Turning Points
In this paper, linear second-order differential equations of Sturm-Liouville type having a finite number of singularities and turning points in a finite interval are investigated. First, we obtain the dual equations associated with the Sturm-Liouville equation. Then, we prove the uniqueness theorem for the solutions of dual initial value problems.
متن کاملLacunary statistical cluster points of sequences
In this note we introduce the concept of a lacunary statistical cluster ( l.s.c.) point and prove some of its properties in finite dimensional Banach spaces. We develop the method suggested by S. Pehlivan and M.A. Mamedov [20] where it was proved that under some conditions optimal paths have the same unique stationary limit point and stationary cluster point. We also show that the set Γx of l.s...
متن کاملA New Kind of Turnpike Theorem
Briefly and informally an (economic or adaptive) plan can be described in terms of its action with respect to two sets: Cfc, an effectively defined set of objects; M, a set of functions /*#: (P-*(R, £ £ 8 , where (P is the set of distributions over G, and (R is a ranking set of positive real numbers. Under the intended interpretation, each P £ ( P corresponds to a mix of goods, chromosomes, str...
